The Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG) is a world-class exhibition space and flexible platform for critical enquiry and theoretical debate with a focus on visual culture. The gallery acts as an interface between the Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) and the broader community. IKG is the longest-running international art program in Calgary, and a vital component of the city’s cultural ecology.
IKG LIVE 1 is a two-day festival dedicated to live art (including happenings and actions, performance, physical theatre and dance). Each day includes live performances that will take place in the Illingworth Kerr Gallery, one after the other or simultaneously. A public program, including participating artists will take place at the conclusion of each day.
